Alicia & Josh-Wedding

Alicia and Josh got married where they met, at a cute little campground on the beach in Myrtle.    Nestled inside was a peaceful little outdoor chapel.  I was so nervous for them because we were expecting storms at the time their ceremony began.  I’m not talking about just rain either, I’m talking about lightning, high winds, thunder, possible tornado’s.   Luckily the weather held out and it was beautiful!  Right when the ceremony was over, we were on a time crunch to get the formal group shots done as the sky started turning more gray.   We did have to fight some powerful wind, but other than that couldn’t have asked for better weather.   Thanks Alicia & Josh, we had a great time.  Look for more images to appear in a facebook album.  Enjoy!

Such a beautiful canopy of trees

I hope you both enjoyed your honeymoon, and maybe won some money!? : )

I’m going through some pictures and editing a wedding we recently shot.   It’s rare that Paul actually gets shots of me, but this one I thought was pretty cool.  I think this is right after I snapped a picture of Erin.   When I took it, she at the same time started to yell the bus driver that he missed a turn.  We were laughing b/c I caught her in the midst of yelling.  Anyhow, I think I look a little funny from the side.  But that is prob. b/c I’m not use to seeing myself that way.  I truly enjoy my job.  Enjoy.

Wedding Portraits-Hickory, NC

Ashley and Jessica actually got married in July.  Unfortunately on their wedding day, it was raining and we were pushed for time.   We finally got together before the weather got too cold to handle.  I was honestly really worried on Saturday.  We had plans to go to  Ashley’s mountain house to do the pictures, which is in Mountain City.    When we looked up the weather is was going to be a high of 42 with 20mph winds.  We decided to just stay in the Hickory area to keep from freezing our tales off.   Surprisingly in Hickory once the sun got nice and warm, it wasn’t that bad.  Here is part 1.   Part 2 (coming in the next few days)  is just a casual session we did after they changed out of their wedding attire.    Also, I have some VERY exciting news coming soon.  Hopefully I can announce it tomorrow.  I’m dancing in my seat here!

Courthouse Wedding, Charlotte-NC

I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful couple from Chicago, Il.  Unfortunately they wouldn’t allow camera’s in the courthouse so I met up Camelia and Paco after they tied the knot and took some pictures for them at Marshall Park. Soon they will have (from what they told me) a HUGE wedding in Romania. They were adorable, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Now, for my post.  A few months ago a friend of mine approached me and said she’d like to build her hair and make up portfolio.  I LOVED this idea.  It also gave me an opportunity to update and add to my portfolio as well.  So we got a few models together and below are numerous images from our long day.  Our models did an amazing job, thank you all so much!    If you or anyone you know is getting married or in need of a hair and make up artist contact Sissy Duncan, She is AMAZING (and I’m not just saying that because she is my good friend).  Take a look for yourself………
